What's New in 8.0
DataTrac® Suite to be Unveiled

Del Mar Database’s 8.0 DataTrac® suite, to be unveiled in the fall, further empowers lenders to increase loan production while reducing costs and decreasing risk.

The 8.0 launch represents Del Mar Database’s most ambitious release to date, and provides an update to both the infrastructure of the core DataTrac application as well as a refreshed user interface (UI). The new UI has scalable screens (dramatically improving readability), standard application controls (simplifying training for new users), and expanded menus (making it easier than ever to access department-specific reports).

The 8.0 release also includes customizable fields for each department in DataTrac. Lenders will now have the ability to add new fields by defining the name and data type (numeric, alpha, pick-list, etc). Customizable fields will comply with DataTrac’s security model, and are accessible for exports and Crystal Reports.

Improved Security and Speed
Security will also be enhanced with DataTrac 8.0. First, user password requirements will be updated to enforce a more secure environment. Second, DataTrac® 8.0 stores your information in an MSDE SQL database which provides improved security of your borrower data and better support for disaster recovery.

Other benefits of the MSDE SQL database and the re-architecture of DataTrac 8.0 are the speed and reliability with which remote offices can run DataTrac. For almost all of our clients, these improvements will be significant—most clients can expect a 5x speed improvement. Customers with high-bandwidth connections between offices will be able to use DataTrac without terminal services or Citrix, making it easier to spread back-office tasks across multiple locations.

New WebTrac®
WebTrac Pro will be replaced with WebTrac 8.0. As with past WebTrac updates, 8.0 focuses on functionality that is intended to increase production. WebTrac 8.0 will allow originators to both view and approve fees on an individual loan basis prior to drawing docs. Brokers will have the ability to create and manage individual loan officer accounts. These enhancements will further strengthen your position as a lender that empowers originators, resulting in more loans coming in your door.

GuideTrac™ Upgrades
GuideTrac 2.0, recently released, offers substantial enhancements over the previous version. First, originators can specify approximately 20 loan parameters to get a much better understanding of the programs available for their clients. Second, GuideTrac supports over 60 investors, covering almost every imaginable product type. Finally, GuideTrac now supports both wholesale and retail lending allowing you to tailor different loan program libraries for each of your origination channels.

Vendor Services Platform
Finally, our 8.0 release also includes Del Mar Database’s Vendor Services Platform, which will introduce a new paradigm for lenders using DataTrac. Our Vendor Services Platform will allow you to order third-party services from within DataTrac and incorporate request results directly back into DataTrac without the need to re-key data. Your data integrity will improve, your staff will be more productive, you’ll have fewer mistakes, and you will close loans more quickly. The 8.0 release includes service interfaces to Freddie Mac, DocMagic®, and a HMDA rate spread calculator. Additional services will be added each quarter.

We are very excited about our 8.0 release and the impact we believe it will have on our clients’ businesses. If you have questions about the release please go to http://support.delmardb.com or contact your Del Mar Database account manager.
