SAN DIEGO, October 17, 2003 -Former San Diego Padres outfielder Tony Gwynn will be available to meet attendees of the upcoming Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA) Annual Convention & Expo at Del Mar Database's booth (# 436) on Monday, October 20, 2003 at 4:00 PM at the San Diego Convention Center.

Gwynn, a Padre for his entire Major League Baseball career, is a 15-time All Star, eight-time National League batting champion, and five-time Gold Glove winner. His 3,141 hits place him 18th on the all-time list and his eight batting titles tie him with Honus Wagner for most in National League history. Gwynn's career batting average of .338 places him 14th on the all-time list and he never batted less than .300 in any full major-league season. His career low of .313 in 1988 was still good enough to win the batting title that year.
