SAN DIEGO, Dec. 22, 2005 - Del Mar Database has released InTrac™, a front-end point-of-sale (POS) solution for small and medium-size mortgage lenders. InTrac works with DataTrac®, Del Mar Database's flagship back-office automation solution, providing DataTrac users with another option for integrating front-office operations with their core mortgage banking solution.
"With InTrac, Del Mar Database is providing yet another best-of-breed option that enables us to improve efficiency and better compete with larger lenders," said Matt Klaess, CEO at Western Financial, LLC. "As margins continue to shrink, it is imperative that small and medium-size lenders take every opportunity to increase profit per loan. Having easy to implement, easy to use, and well-supported single provider solutions like InTrac and DataTrac does just that. Del Mar Database has responded to lenders looking for a new option with InTrac, a powerful alternative POS solution."
InTrac is an optional add-on application to a lender's existing DataTrac solution and Del Mar Database will continue supporting POS integrations to other software vendors. Developed from base functionality that has been in use for more than eight months, InTrac provides DataTrac users with a tested and solid new choice. InTrac was officially released and made available to DataTrac users on Dec. 21, 2005.
"The third party POS systems work very well for many lenders because they are simple and easy-to-use, and most originators are already familiar with them," said Rob Katz, vice president of Del Mar Database. "However, the very simplicity of the solutions also requires lenders to impose business rules for managing their business outside of their technology. For some lenders this works; for others it does not. Like our other optional add-on applications, WebTrac, DocumentTrac, GuideTrac, CommissionTrac and BusinessTrac, InTrac provides a powerful POS option to lenders needing a more sophisticated solution."
With robust origination and processing functionality, InTrac enables lenders to put a single provider lending solution into the hands of more employees, reaching out to loan officers and processors. Mortgage companies looking to reduce internal operating costs by consolidating vendors and systems will continue to benefit from a dedicated path of enhancements to product suite integration and functionality.
"Many of our new clients are switching from so-called 'end-to-end solutions' that either failed during implementation or simply did not meet the business needs of the lender," continued Katz. "After selecting DataTrac as the best back-office solution, these lenders have the option to choose the best POS for their businesses, whether our offering or another vendor's. InTrac's simple implementation and ease of use, combined with our technical and customer support, provides for greater efficiency and return on investment. Many lenders may prefer to work exclusively with one vendor potentially making our POS solution the best fit for them."
